Root Canal Treatment
After tooth decay, the second most common reason for visiting a dentist is inflammation of the dental nerve. It can be caused by decay or injury. If the inflammation goes unnoticed or is neglected, it progresses to gangrene, which can result in severe pain, swelling, and/or fever. In such cases, the therapy is longer but still possible. Furthermore, as part of the preparation for prosthetic work, endodontic therapy is advised in certain cases, based on the doctor's assessment. With modern therapeutic methods, instruments, and materials, a very high success rate in root canal treatment is achieved – over 97%.
